Senior Medical Writer - Hybrid or Remote
An independent agency based in Haywards Heath is looking for a Senior Medical Writer to join their team.
You will be working on a range of medical education materials and on-site events including manuscripts, abstracts, infographics, ad boards, congresses, videos, animation, and more.
You will be managing a team and have a client facing role where you will be the main scientific point of contact for clients.
Some responsibilities include:
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, external experts and internal team members in the delivery of project work
- Develop commercial content for materials eg agendas, speaker briefs, slide decks, training materials, infographics, talking head scripts according to the project brief, ensuring that all review comments are adequately incorporated and projects are delivered to deadline
- Prepared clinical trial manuscripts for publication and associated abstracts for congresses
- Work effectively for multiple clients or across multiple accounts/therapy areas, demonstrating strategic understanding
- Lead onsite client meetings activities (eg symposia, advisory boards, congresses, client– agency meetings), acting as the main scientific point of contact for clients and external experts
- Managing medical writer and junior medical writer within the team
- Working closely with SD and taking project forward and leading from the content side until project is completed
Requirements:
- Life science degree
- 3 years previous med comms/ pharmaceutical writing experience
- Experience of having prepared clinical trial manuscripts for publication and associated abstracts for congresses
- Understanding of pharma company approval systems
- Understanding of ABPI code of conduct and how this affects marketing content for pharmaceutical companies
- Must be able to travel for client meetings and on-site events
