Join our Translational Research & Development team as a Scientist. In this role, the candidate will conduct activities that are essential for clinical drug development. He/she will support development of biomarker assays for evaluating drug candidates in clinical trials. He/she will ensure methods are developed, validated, and executed with the highest degree of quality. He/she will also support clinical operation by maintaining meticulous records of assay performance, clinical sample inventory, or other essential documents pertaining to clinical testing. Responsibilities:
Participate in the design, development, validation, qualification, and implementation of clinical biomarker assays to support bioanalytical and clinical development of Neuron23’s drug candidates
Troubleshoot assays to support clinical studies and maintain project timeline
Conduct testing of clinical samples on a regular basis during clinical trial, requiring minimal supervision
Analyze, document and report laboratory data accurately
Communicate accurately and effectively in oral and written form with internal and external collaborators/vendors
Actively participate in presentations of lab data and scientific discussions in lab meetings and collaborating on next steps
Provide logistic support for clinical sample management by developing database for sample management and organizing clinical sample inventory onsite
Ensures lab maintenance activities, assist with equipment installation, calibration, usage logs and maintains a clean and safe lab environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience in Biochemistry, Cell & Molecular Biology, Immunology, or similar fields
Experience with clinical assay development, validation/qualification is critical
Solid experience in blood cultures, cells cultures, and tissue biospecimens, qPCR, differential gene expression analysis, ELISA and immunoassays on major platforms including but not limited to MSD, Luminex, AlphaLisa, SIMOA,
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask is a must
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in Flow Cytometry and omic (gene and protein) platforms a plus
Experience working in regulated (GLP/GMP) environment is preferred
