I came to meet in November 2014, when we just had the one office, on the 32nd floor of Euston Tower. Now I sit in a business more than twice the size with offices in NYC and San Fran and what a journey it has been!
I started as a Resourcer on our US Communications team, building our market in New York remotely from the UK with my colleagues Laith & Harry. Less than a year later, we opened our New York office, headed up by Laith, Divisional Director. As a Resourcer, I managed to write up 4 deals under Laith, and moved over to the UK Market soon after with the Meet NYC move imminent.
As a Consultant on the UK team, I predominantly focused on Medical Writers, before broadening my search into Advertising and PR. I really enjoyed the transition onto this team where I was able to meet with candidates and clients alike on a weekly basis and, before the end of the year, I managed to place a Director with one of our key clients.
Then came my next promotion target, which again I hit in February 2016. By this point, I was given my first Resourcer to manage and I found using my experience and passing on my knowledge very rewarding.
My next promotion was my toughest challenge yet, but I was up for the challenge! I really wanted to hit this target as it was a big step for my progression at Meet, and an important one to become a future manager. My target started in February 2017 and it took right up until my last day in May to pull in the deal to smash it. It was a great feeling!
I now sit here as a Lead Consultant at Meet, my third promotion in under three years, and I look forward to the next one. I am now managing a team of three and with the way Dannielle, Josie and Mike are performing, I’m sure it won’t be long until my next promotion to Team Leader…
