The Company
Our client is a well funded California Biotech focused on age related disease with a fantastic pipeline .
The Role
This is a 6 month 40 hr/week contract with a fully onsite requirement in South San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with members in the Protein Science group to design, generate, and purify plasmids required for recombinant protein expression or cellular assays.
- Routine cell-culture duty to generate and maintain mammalian cell lines used for protein expression and cell-based assays
- Ability to perform key biochemical gel electrophoresis and membrane blotting techniques as needed
Qualifications:
- B.S/M.S in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related discipline with 2-3 years of Industry experience.
- Experience in Cell Line Development
- Previous work with molecular cloning technique
- Experience with DNA gel electrophoresis and restriction digest
- Experience with mammalian/bacterial cell culture maintenance and aseptic techniques.
