Commercial Strategy Director - Southern Europe (Global OTC Business)

Location: Barcelona, Rome or Paris (with significant travel within Southern Europe)

Role Overview:
As the Commercial Strategy Director for Southern Europe within our global OTC business, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and market expansion strategies across the region. Reporting directly to the Global Commercial Strategy Head, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies tailored to the unique market dynamics of Southern Europe. This role will require extensive travel throughout the region to engage with key stakeholders, understand market trends, and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive market penetration, revenue growth, and market share expansion across Southern Europe.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution of commercial initiatives.
  3. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and consumer trends within the OTC healthcare sector in Southern Europe.
  4. Lead the development of product-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and distribution strategies tailored to local market needs.
  5. Drive financial strategy and performance management processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
  6. Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, business development, or related roles within the OTC or FMCG industries.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing commercial strategies, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share in competitive environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluency in English and proficiency in one or more Southern European languages (e.g., Spanish, Italian, French) preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Southern Europe as required.
