Associate Client Services Director/ Client Services Director - Medical Communications

Company Information:

This independent, global medical communications agency is my top client. They are around 300 people globally, with offices in various locations across the UK (London, Greater Manchester and Oxford) and the US. They are a full service agency, delivering top class medical affairs, publications, commercial and digital projects to global and local pharmaceutical clients.

Role Information:

Client management - managing existing client relationships to ensure they are happy with services provided, providing strategic and operational direction to account teams, acting as a strategic and trusted partner to clients, ability to identify potential clients and facilitate proactive intervention steps

Project management - hands on approach to support the account teams, ensuring the highest standards are met for all projects, collaborating with the scientific team on projects

Financial management - overall responsibility for account financials and KPIs, setting realistic revenue targets and ensuring these targets are hit, completing timesheets accurately and on time, financial conversations with clients

Business development - identifying and driving new business opportunities across new and existing clients, leading in pitches, 

People management - managing resourcing needs across the team, line managing people at various levels, impacting the progression and development of your line reports, coaching and mentoring others across the team

Experience Required:
  • Experienced senior client services candidate with around 8+ years' experience in medical communications agencies
  • Well rounded experience across a spectrum of medical affairs and publications accounts
  • Proven ability to work across different therapy areas
  • Good commercial experience
  • Experience of growing, developing and guiding high performance teams
  • Ability to develop, lead and implement business growth strategies
  • Strong financial management experience
