10 years of Meet...

Today, Meet Recruitment celebrates its 10th anniversary! 

Established in 2009, our 3 founders; Paul McGuire, Hannah Donaldson and Alastair Shaw, wanted to disrupt the recruitment industry by putting people at the heart of what they do while also having a specialist focus on the Life Sciences industry. Their vision: to build a brilliant Life Sciences recruitment company that people love working for, working with and want to shout about. 

A decade later, Meet is an industry-leading brand, with a global presence and a headcount of over 100. Founder and CEO, Hannah, tells us Meet’s story…

“In 2009, we were a 3 person company working out of a small office in London - it’s been quite a journey! Initially, we focused on establishing ourselves in the European Life Sciences market, building out our presence in Healthcare Communications, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices sectors. By 2015, having experienced continued year on year growth, we were ready for our next challenge: launching in the USA. 

We made the strategic decision to open our first U.S. office in New York, focusing on the East Coast market. A huge professional and personal milestone for me, as I relocated to the U.S. to spearhead this growth. Following an incredibly successful first year, we were ready to tackle the West Coast market and in September of 2016 we launched our San Francisco office, before going on to open a further office in Chicago in 2017. Finally, our most recent launch saw us open our Berlin office, establishing a physical presence in the DACH region to better serve our thriving European business.

I’m incredibly proud and humbled by all of the milestones we’ve reached over the last 10 years. Meet’s success is down to the brilliant team we have assembled, who live by our values and provide the very best service to our candidates and clients. People have always been at the centre of everything we do, and I’m so thankful to everyone who has been part of our story and celebrated every milestone along with us.

It’s an exciting time for the company, as we continue to scale and expand into new geographies and sectors, guided by the market as the Life Sciences evolves to incorporate new technologies and regulations. We’re just getting started — the best is yet to come.”
