How Meet Helped Trinzo Progress in the Life Science Industry

Looking to secure new business with a major German pharmaceutical company that needed to improve the efficiency of their internal manufacturing and quality team, medical device and pharma consultancy firm, Trinzo approached Meet with the challenge of sourcing three niche contractor positions.

Who are Trinzo

Changing Lives with Innovative Solutions

Founded in 2015, Trinzo are a medical device, pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical consultancy whose mission is to create innovative solutions within life sciences. They support their clients with compliance and regulatory requirements relating to the product development of devices that improve patients' lives across the globe.

Based in Galway, Ireland with a remote presence in the UK, the United States, and other international locations, Trinzo's consultancy services greatly impact the sector. Without their contributions to the industry, various medical devices and pharmaceutical products wouldn't make it to market and to the patients who depend on them.

Built on trust, honesty and transparency

The Partnership

Our partnership with the client began in 2016 when our Senior Team Leader - EU Contract Division, Matt Lowe-Louri, noticed a new consultancy firm was starting to make waves within the life sciences industry with many contractors joining Trinzo projects.

After reaching out, Matt, who has been working at Meet Recruitment since 2015, travelled to Trinzo's headquarters in Galway to meet with their internal team. On the back of a successful meeting, a partnership was formed.

During the first three years of the partnership, the relationship was steady without bearing too much collaboration.  However, Matt's persistence and positioning of Meet as a valued recruitment partner helped secure a long term trust with the client, and since 2019 our partnership has gone from strength to strength to the point where we can proudly say that we are the exclusive supplier for all contractor vacancies for our client.

Their Challenge

With a potential deal in place with an established pharmaceutical business in Germany, we knew the importance of this assignment. If we could successfully place the required talent for Trinzo, this would ultimately help them win the deal with their new client.

One key challenge our client had was securing the talent in a short space of time. If we were unsuccessful in overcoming this challenge for our client, then both Meet and Trinzo would lose their respective deals. For Trinzo, hanging in the balance was the business of a client who had the potential to become a long term partner.

Another challenge our client's internal recruitment team faced was finding talent in three very particular roles. These three positions included a Project Manager, a Lean Expert and a Quality Management System (QMS) expert. After struggling to find the talent they needed due to the uniqueness of the roles, Trinzo put their trust in us to provide a solution.

Our Solution

An impactful service-led approach

When Trinzo came to us with this assignment, Matt quickly established a brief with Trinzo's HR and Talent Lead, Jane Fox. After a remote conversation, Matt was able to identify the challenges they were facing and, from this, began to map out how we could iron out their pain points.

Having worked with Trinzo for the best part of six years, we knew the type of candidate our client was looking for. Of course, Trinzo wanted experienced individuals with a background in pharma, but it was important we found talent that would be collaborative team players. Finding the right cultural fit was at the forefront of our search.

Matt and his team put a search process together, using tools like Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter and Meet's international network to shortlist the potential candidates for the required positions.

During the process, along with the pressures of a tight deadline and finding niche experts, another obstacle the team overcame was finding talent within a German market where talent was scarce.

Once we sent the shortlist to our client, Jane screened the candidates through their internal interview process, including a psychometric assessment to ensure the individuals were the best fit for Trinzo.

At Meet Recruitment, we pride ourselves on taking a supportive and professional approach, going above and beyond for our clients and candidates. This approach was echoed during this assignment, where Matt supported Trinzo and the candidates with complete transparency.

Throughout the assignment, Matt had regular calls with Jane and also Liam Turley, Trinzo's CEO & Quality Expert. Here, Matt provided updates on the specific search and other projects he was supporting them with. Having this honest and transparent relationship with the client has been a critical reason for the long term success of the partnership.

Results

Two successful placements and a more than happy client

Combining our tried and tested approach with our client's established relationship, we achieved the below results:

  • We delivered the needed roles to Trinzon within 21days, a turnaround they were extremely pleased with.
  • Trinzo won the deal with the German pharmaceutical company, and the two contractors have successfully worked on behalf of Trinzo since March 2022.
  • Our partnership with Trinzo continues to thrive, and we currently have eight contactors working for them on other projects - three of which have been with Trinzo since 2020, having their skills initial six-month contract extended.
