I’m Vanessa, a Lead Recruiter on the Medical Communications and Healthcare Advertising team here at Meet Recruitment. I first learned about the recruitment industry in college, and I knew it was the prefect job for me, because I wanted to engage with brilliant individuals and help them find a career that fulfilled their long-term goals. After graduating with a Business Management and Marketing degree from Syracuse University, I joined the workforce in 2017 in a corporate recruitment environment. 

I joined Meet in April 2018, because I knew I loved the recruitment industry, but I wanted to join a company where the people came first, and culture was valued above all. Once I met with the team and learned about the Medical Communications industry, I was hooked, because the healthcare industry impacts everyone. Reflecting on my time here, it fills me with so much pride to have firsthand witnessed our NYC office grow into the outstanding business it is today! As a Lead Recruiter, I recruit across all verticals on our team including scientific services, account and client services, editorial, strategy, art, creative, and copy. I also work across business development, building out our client base to ensure I keep the team growing and can meet the demand of the growing industry. Additionally, I manage junior recruiters on our team, and help them build out their recruitment skills to have a prosperous career.

I’m passionate for our industry because no matter who you are, the life sciences and healthcare space impacts you. Our clients are pushing boundaries with lifesaving solutions, and all have the end goal of helping people. I have gravitated towards the Medical Communications industry, because it is the creative side of the drug development process and is the end point in which the world sees. I love this space because when I see advertisements or commercials, I can proudly say that my clients developed them and can see their end goal that they’ve strived for and worked so hard to get to.
