Senior Embedded Software & Hardware Engineer – Medical Devices - £40k - £50k

I’m helping a top medical device company in their search for an Senior Embedded Software & Hardware Engineer. This role would be great for someone already working across software and hardware, or someone who has always thought their skills could be used across both areas.

The company specialise in electromedical products and already have a strong hold in their area – outlined by recent heavy investment. There is a real buzz about their products and their passion is evident as soon as you step onto their impressive site!

Senior Embedded Software & Hardware Engineer, what you’ll do:

• Develop embedded software for the company product platforms in accordance with agreed business plans
•Create software design specifications against requirements

•Troubleshoot and de-bug current software platforms, coding in Embedded C

•Create, execute and document unit and subsystem test scripts

•Supervise and mentoring of junior software engineers

•Develop tools for embedded systems such as in-circuit emulators

•Redesign firmware and hardware


Skills Required

Senior Embedded Software & Hardware Engineer, who you are:

•You’re an experienced Embedded Engineer, preferably with 5+ yrs medical device experience, although other regulated industries will be considered

•You have experience of both software and hardware development

•You’re able to work in an open, AGILE environment

•You have experience working with 8 bit, 16 bit and 32 bit cores and Bluetooth low energy

•You are a good trouble shooter and have solid grounding in de-bugging type roles

•You will ideally have some background in software architecture

•You will be interested in working for a leading medical device company and learning new skills on a daily basis
