My client is a global medical communications network looking for a Senior Medical Writer to join their team. This is an amazing opportunity to grow and develop your existing medical writing skills and become a part of an organisation that is recognised for providing only the highest quality service for their clients.

There are around 120 employees in this agency globally (about half of which are based in the UK). They offer fully remote working for those that want it (at all levels), but do have an office in London if you prefer to go into an office). Their work spans the whole of medical communications (publications, medical affairs and digital work). Their main therapy areas include oncology, cardiovascular and renal (amongst many others).

If you are a Medical Writer or Senior Medical Writer who is ambitious, constantly striving for success, as well as all about teamwork and passionate about coaching, mentoring, and people management, this is the role for you!

Skills and Experience
  • 3-4 years of medical writing experience in medical communications
  • Higher degree in a relevant subject (PhD, MD, PharmD, etc.)
  • Able to critically review deliverables for scientific accuracy and integrity.
  • Work to deadlines and manage multiple projects.
  • Project and finance management skills
  • Excellent delegation skills and knowledge to review, coach, and mentor junior-level writers.
  • Expert knowledge of client review and approval systems, such as Veeva, DataVision, etc., and ensures all deliverables comply with industry codes, such as the ABPI.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings.
  • Design, develop and edit different types of materials across a wide range of project types for various audiences.
  • Produce high-quality, well-written materials that are scientifically and technically accurate, in line with client objectives and specifications.
  • Completes written materials to be reviewed within specified time and meets allocated project budget.
  • Develop accurate briefs, advice and mentorship to junior writers.
  • Provides quality review of basic medical communication deliverables and delivers constructive feedback.
  • Planning of weekly and long-term workload for small account team.
