Meet has partnered with a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical organization specializing in innovative cancer treatments. Using established drug development platforms, they focus on bi-specific, multi-specific antibodies, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). With assets in various stages of clinical trials for solid tumor and hematologic indications, they also have a robust preclinical pipeline of potential cancer therapeutics in the discovery or IND-enabling stages. Their goal is to create biologics that systematically intervene in the solid tumor micro-environment, either by directly attacking the tumor or activating the immune system.

As a Medical Safety Physician, you will join their motivated and expert team of physicians in the global Oncology Therapeutic Area of Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance. Your role will prioritize the wellbeing of patients worldwide, contributing to the development of our growing portfolio of innovative medicines. This highly visible position is ideal for an individual with a strong medical/scientific background who is passionate about patient safety and can help drive employee engagement while enhancing their corporate reputation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in cross-functional expert teams globally to develop and support proactive risk management strategies for assigned compounds.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor all pharmacovigilance activities for assigned drug responsibilities, including medical assessments of SAEs, AESIs, DLTs, periodic Benefit Risk Evaluation Reports/PADERs, Development Safety Update Reports, Risk Management Plans, Clinical Overview Statements, continuous monitoring, and further development of the product safety profile, safety issue management, and set-up of safety analyses in both post-marketing and clinical trial databases.
  • Provide review and medical-scientific input to regulatory documents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience/expertise in clinical practice beyond training with a strong medical/scientific knowledge or experience with case/medical review.
  • Board certification/experience in a medicine subspecialty would be an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Highly ethical personality prioritizing patient safety.
  • Self-starter with a driving personality and willingness to take on responsibilities.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of medical data and draw medical conclusions.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory environment.
  • US MD or DO degree or international equivalent from an accredited institution with more than 5 years of applicable experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or pharmacovigilance required.
  • Leadership experience required.

The hiring pay range for this position is $170,000 - $200,000 per year based on skills, education, and experience relevant to the role.
