I am excited to be partnered with a top client of mine on their search for a seasoned Lead Medical Writer to join their ever-growing team! This agency are part of a global Medical Communications network, yet very much function as an independently-owned team, with a specialism in Medical Affairs, Publications and Commercial. The team boasts a client roster of blue-chip pharma's + emerging biotech's and are proud to offer their client a full-service agency capability whist executing an unparalleled, boutique agency service.


As LMW - You will be the scientific client lead on your designated accounts and heavily involved in all scientifc strategy initiatives. My client is currently looking to bring on a seasoned LMW to focus on a Rare Disease, Oncology, Hematology or Immunology brand.

Job Description:

  • Design, develop and reviews a variety of deliverables, including but not limited to: slide decks, video scripts, website copy, congress materials, sales training materials, and GAP analyses
  • Ensure all deliverables are scientifically accurate, fully referenced, appropriate to the target audience, and consistently meet the highest quality standards
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge across assigned therapy areas whilst keeping up-to-date on industry trends and scientific developments
  • Leads and drives the delivery of larger medical conference and meeting events, including symposia, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and communication and publication workshops, etc.
  • Leads client meetings when appropriate, updating both the team and client on key scientific actions
  • Builds strong client relationships - Starts to help shape client strategy, recommending new projects or advising when taking a different approach may better meet client objectives
  • Manages direct reports effectively by providing constructive and actionable feedback, ultimately nurturing their professional growth


Skills Required:

  • A higher education degree - PhD, MD, PharmD - required
  • LMW: A minimum of 4 years' experience working within Medical Communications
  • Excellent scientific and editorial competency
  • Strong relationship building and strengthening skills, with both clients and HCPs
  • Ability to critically review deliverables for scientific accuracy and integrity
  • Experience of coaching and mentoring junior level writers
