Director of Product Development AI

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership: Provide strategic leadership for the computational sciences team, guiding research and development efforts in alignment with organizational goals.
  2. Team Management: Oversee a team of computational scientists, researchers, and analysts, fostering collaboration and a culture of innovation.
  3. Research Strategy: Develop and implement a research strategy for computational sciences, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
  4. Project Management: Direct and manage complex computational projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project objectives.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts, to integrate computational solutions into broader projects.
  6. Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources, including budget, personnel, and computational infrastructure, to optimize team performance.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, presenting findings, insights, and the impact of computational sciences on organizational goals.
  8. Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new computational methodologies, algorithms, and technologies.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Next-Gen Platform Development: Lead the development of the next generation of the Rader platform, focusing on product-level advancements.
  2. AI and Big Pharma Expertise: Possess a deep appreciation for AI and a strong understanding of the big pharma industry, aligning product development with industry needs.
  3. Remote Team Management: Manage remote development teams in India, ensuring efficient collaboration and successful project delivery.
  4. Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate commercial awareness, understanding the business implications of product decisions and contributing to the platform's overall success.
  5. Hands-On Energy: Bring hands-on energy to the role, actively contributing to the development process and fostering a dynamic and innovative work environment.
  6. Computational Biology Knowledge: While a Ph.D. is not required, a background in computational biology would be advantageous, contributing to the intersection of AI and drug discovery.
  7. Pharma or AI Company Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or AI industry, with a proven track record in product development.
  8. Cancer Experience: Experience in cancer research or related fields is a significant plus, contributing to the platform's focus on drug discovery.
  9. Location and Travel: Ideally based in Dallas or Plano, with a willingness to travel to India as needed. Full-time employment is preferred.
  10. Strategic Hiring: Play a key role in hiring a substantial number of team members in India in the near future, contributing to the growth and success of the platform.
