Hi there! I’m Anton, Chief Commercial Officer of Meet.

I started my career in recruitment back in 2000, spending my first decade with the SThree Group. Within that time, I wore multiple hats and took on a variety of roles, most notably launching Progressive Netherlands and new market verticals throughout the UK.

From there, I joined another organisation, Staffgroup, as Sales Director. Whilst at Staffgroup, I successfully built out their international business in London and Germany, increasing their profits from less than £1m to £2.5m via contract and permanent year-on-year growth.

Working in a fast-growing, privately-owned company motivated me to start my own recruitment partner business in 2013. After reaching a peak of 160 contract engineers across the U.S., Middle East, and West Africa, in 2019 I made the decision to sell my share of the company and use my experience to support other recruitment businesses as an advisor and executive coach. All these personal milestones and experiences have led to where I am today: here at Meet.

Joining Meet was an obvious and easy choice for me. Those who’ve worked in recruitment before will know that for such a people-centric industry, so seldomly is there an organisation that puts its employees, partners (both candidates and clients), and suppliers front and centre of its thinking. Meet’s ability to do that mirrors my own goals and business ethics, so when I was presented with the opportunity, I simply couldn’t turn it down!

As CCO, it is my duty to seek out opportunities to join the dots between our global offices and markets within the Life Sciences industry. To do so, I work closely with our global management team, looking at how we can improve our commercial offering for our clients without ever steering away from Life Sciences and its associated industries. Bringing brilliant people together to create life-improving medicines, technology and education is extremely gratifying and I feel tremendously lucky to support such a wonderful industry.

It’s my job to drive business performance throughout our global offices. Part of that is encouraging and supporting all of our team to reach their potential. It’s key for me that every single person in the business has access to opportunity, whether that’s training and development or the trust to take on new challenges. I want to build on Meet’s culture, creating a business where everyone feels they can bring their whole selves to work.

Talking about opportunity, one of the major benefits of having a global business is that it offers international mobility, which only enhances the supportive, collective and opportunity-led culture we’ve built – a massive part of Meet’s identity, and one that we work tirelessly to protect as the business continues to expand.

As we do continue to scale, and our management team develops, we are continuously looking for those who have a keen interest in recruitment, Life Sciences, and people. We pride ourselves on the personal and professional growth we can offer, and we want more like-minded individuals to take advantage of it, become part of our close-knit culture, and leave their own unique imprint on the business.

We’ve already gone from good to great, and anyone who has ever had ‘purple blood’ running through their veins has played a considerable part in making Meet what it is today. As we look to the future, what excites me the most is seeing how much further we can go; from where we are now, which is a real market-leading, disruptive-thinking business, to one that rewrites the script of what is possible. If you’d like to join us in that mission, we’d absolutely love to hear from you!
